Position: Jr. Help Desk Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring computers, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Document and track issues using our ticketing system, ensuring all tickets are updated and resolved.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on workstations and other IT equipment.
  • Educate users on best practices and provide guidance on how to use various software applications and tools.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement improvements to our support processes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to expand your technical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong desire to help others.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a help desk or customer support role is a bonus.

    • Familiarity with Cybersecurity Principles: Awareness of basic cybersecurity practices and principles to support SecureTrust Technologies' mission.
    • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a positive attitude towards helping others.
